ABOUT ME
I'm the founder of GOLDA, a Jewish lifestyle media company built around one idea: making Jewish life bright, beautiful, and full of meaning. Through our newsletter and events (and soon-to-launch podcast!), we introduce our community to the people and products making Jewish life feel exciting right now.
I’m a trusted voice on Jewish culture and identity, and speak regularly about what it means to live Jewishly today. I'm also a recognizable one—I hosted the hit Jewish podcast "Unorthodox" for nearly a decade.
Before launching GOLDA, I spent 13 formative years at Tablet as a writer, editor, and podcaster. Following the success of "Unorthodox," I co-founded Tablet Studios, the premier destination for smart and accessible Jewish audio content. I launched Tablet's book series with Artisan and co-authored The Newish Jewish Encyclopedia: From Abraham to Zabar’s and Everything in Between. I also produced the inaugural Tablet Hanukkah Bazaar and Passover Pop-Up.
I'm lucky enough to be invited to speak at JCCs, synagogues, and Jewish communities around the country, connecting with people about what Jewish life means to them. I host the Unpacking the Book author interview series at The Jewish Museum in New York City in partnership with the Jewish Book Council and GOLDA, and have spoken at and moderated events at the Museum of Jewish Heritage, the Temple Emanu-El Streicker Center, The New York Public Library, the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History, and many other wonderful venues.
I have a Bachelor’s in Religion from Duke and a Master’s in Religious Studies and Journalism from NYU. I live on the Upper West Side with my husband Ben Cohen and our two daughters, Edith and Sadie.
